FY Genbu Kaiden ~ Scans du chapitre 34 (raw)
C’est bien plus tôt que ce que je pensais que je reviens vous voir avec les informations concernant le chapitre 34 de Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden (Fushigi Yuugi, La Légende de Gembu). J’ai effectivement déjà reçu le Rinka 12. C’est fou, c’est la première fois qu’il arrive aussi rapidement dans ma boîte aux lettres puisqu’il est seulement sorti il y a une semaine pile. Nous n’allons pas nous plaindre, n’est-ce pas ? ^^.
Le prochain chapitre, le 35ème, est prévu pour la mi-juin 2011, dans le Rinka 13. Le rythme de prépublication semble dorénavant être d’un chapitre tous les quatre mois. Concernant la sortie du volume 10, il est assez difficile de se prononcer car on ne sait pas encore combien de chapitres il comptera. Si c’est trois, la sortie de ne devrait plus être trop loin, quatre, il faudra au moins attendre l’automne 2011, cinq (soit jusqu’au chapitre 36), ce ne sera pas avant 2012. Tout cela est valable pour l’édition japonaise, évidemment. Il faut certainement compter ensuite six mois avant que la traduction française de Tonkam soit entre vos mains. Ce ne sont que des spéculations, ne l’oubliez pas.
De toute manière, si vous êtes en manque des œuvres de Yuu Watase, il y a Arata Kangatari (Arata) en cours chez Kurokawa et le volume 5 sort le 10 mars ;)
Revenons à nos moutons. Le chapitre 34 fut donc prépublié dans le Rinka 12, sorti le 14 février dernier. Il comporte soixante page, deux pages en couleurs et une illustration double de chapitre. La couverture est elle aussi, pour la première fois sur Rinka, dédiée à Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden.
Le résumé arrivera d’ici quelques jours. Cela me prend pas mal le temps et je tiens à vous proposer quelque chose de correct :) Sachez juste que ce chapitre est tragique et se déroule en très grande partie dans le passé. On y voit notamment Temudan, le père de Rimudo lorsqu’il était jeune, de quelle manière il a contracté sa maladie et on a le droit à une sacrée révélation… Je n’en dis pas plus ^^.
Comme convenu, vous pouvez trouver dans la galerie toutes les illustrations en couleurs et 24 planches (sur 60) du chapitre. Ces dernières se trouvent dans cet album et pour accéder aux autres, il suffit de cliquer sur les vignettes ci-dessous.

J’avais dit dernièrement ne pas vouloir proposer la totalité des scans du chapitre pour une raison bien précise, à savoir que je ne veux pas qu’ils soient utilisés pour en faire des scanlations. Comme je vois sur les sites autres que le mien que tout le monde cherche ces fameux raw, je veux bien cette fois les partager. Je pourrai continuer pour les chapitres suivants, à une condition précise. Si jamais mes scans sont utilisés pour en faire des scanlations, il est clair que je ne le ferai plus. Je ne veux pas associer à mon site à cette pratique illégale. Le manga est licencié en France et dans plein d’autres pays. Certains se chargent de la translation, il y a les raw, vous pouvez quand même vous en satisfaire. Ça m’est totalement égal que vous ne soyez pas content, c’est comme ça. Vous pouvez acheter aussi le Rinka hein… Autre chose, certains vont peut-être s’amuser à utiliser mes raw, sans me créditer, en espérant que je ne m’en rende pas compte. Ne rêvez pas. Bref, je partage les raw cette fois, la suite ce sera selon votre bon vouloir. Et il vaut mieux que je l’écrive en anglais puisque ce ne sont pas les Français qui m’agacent ;
I know that Sous les Étoiles is visited by a lot of non-french-speaking readers so I’m going to explain myself in english. By the way, you can always speak to me in english. I understand it very well and even if my writing isn’t unflawed, I suppose you can understand what I want to say. You don’t have to write in french, english is perfect for me.
Like I previously said, it’s not the fact of sharing raw scans with you that bothers me, but in october 2010, when chapter 33 came out, some people made scanlations with my raw scans without my authorization. I don’t want that. It does annoy me because it’s illegal and I don’t want my website (which is related to my name / address / etc.) be affiliated with that. I guess you can understand. Japanese people have shut down some scans website these past few years and yes, they could to the same with mine. Moreover, FY Genbu Kaiden is licensed in France and in other countries so you just have to wait a bit. Someone will use my scans to make a translation, you’ll understand what’s happening in this chapter, you don’t need scanlations for that.
So this time, I share my raw scans, like in october 2010. However, if I see that they’re used for scanlations, I won’t do it again and I’ll remove all my links. Don’t think that if you don’t credit my scans, I won’t know. I’m not that dumb. I write in english so don’t say that you didn’t know. I just don’t care. I’m a bit sad to have to act like that but I want to protect my website. Plus, I’m not sure that Yuu Watase would be delighted to see that all her chapters are available on the internet, especially if they come from someone who says is a fan… Anyway, if you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask, I’ll gladly answer it. Remember = no scanlations or I’ll stop everything.

Looking on the LJ community, of which you are a member, I see no active participation on your part to discourage or contact those who made scanlations to ask them to stop. Furthermore, in your previous two posts of chapter 32 and 33, you made no disclaimer and warning against scanlations, only that you do not wish the raw scans to be redistributed past your site, thus you are just at fault for those chapters. If you did not want the scanlations made, why didn’t you contact the groups that made them to ask them to stop? The communities and groups distributing if you wanted no part. If you didn’t like it, why didn’t you speak up?

Hello and thank you very much for putting your time and effort into this for the fans. We all really appreciate it.
I feel guilty about scanslations being made from your scans of the last publication, because I’m partly the cause for it. I was the one who translated the raws into English and shared your link to many people, so it lead to the English scans being made. For this reason, I feel a bit hesitant to translate this time. Since these are your scans, I would like to ask for your permission first. Would it be ok if I write up a text translation to this and share it on livejournal? If you say it is ok, I will write a notice saying something like « DO NOT EDIT THE SCANS FROM YUUWATASE.NET » and if someone makes scans anyway, I will contact that person as well as the genbu kaiden community moderator.

I don’t have any relation to the scanlations made before, but I think I should speak up and say they were made only because members like me – who don’t understand Japanese – would like to read the new chapters. My only fault is keeping asking again and again for people to make the scanlations, on the community and on other websites, like forums.
BUT…
This doesn’t mean I don’t understand your situation: Japan is really tightening the not against fan translations, scanlations, etc. We all should be careful, a lot of fan scanlating websites closed already. I think most of all we should be grateful for you posting the raws for us to see. :)

In october, when scanlations appeared on the LJ community, I didn’t see it right away. At this time, I had some issues with my internet connection. When I realized it, it was maybe a week after and well… I supposed you had spent a huge time on that, some people were really happy and because it was done, I didn’t want to ruin everything. I guess I’m way to nice ;D I thought at this moment that for the next chapter (this one), I will write something about it, which I’ve just done. That’s all. If that’s you who really scanlated the last chapter, I just want to thank you for crediting my scans but you should have ask me before. Substantially, scanlations don’t bother me, it’s just that I don’t want to be on Japanese radars. By the way, of course you can translate this chapter, I don’t mind at all. It’s even the contrary :)
@ Senshigeia ~ You’re welcome ^^ Yeah, I totally get it. Personnaly, I hate reading scanlations but I understand why some people enjoy them. However, here, it’s only a legal issue. I’m kinda afraid of Japanese hunters’ scans and I don’t want to have any problem. By the way, in France the law is also really picky about that, which is a real dilemna for me. Cela fait un certain temps déjà que je viens régulièrement sur tes sites (enfin ton site maintenant) dédiés à Yuu Watase pour y avoir des infos de qualité. C’est vraiment le seul où je trouve ce que je cherche, alors merci encore. ^^
Par timidité je n’osais pas laisser de message, mais c’est vrai que ce ne doit pas être agréable de voir que tout le monde profites de son travail sans dire merci, alors voilà, j’ai fini par sauter le pas. :)
Personnellement, tant que je peux admirer quelques planches et profiter de tes résumés très développés, cela me suffit amplement. ^^ Je comprends mieux ton résumé que les raws, alors je préfère avoir un vrai résumé plutôt que toutes les planches et de ne pas comprendre la moitié de ce qui se passe.

Is it just me or did the art just suddenly changed in this chapter? Like it looks less realistic and more geometric (like more blocky and with sharper shapes). I remember reading how readers wanted Yuu Watase to change her art style like back in the original Fushigi Yuugi but she couldn’t and now it’s changed? It’s quite disappointing as I liked her art style before chapter 34. I wish she would never change her art style (and just keep her art style like from Ceres, Imadoki, Alice 19th, and this manga) and if she had to, she should’ve waited to finish this manga to do so. My only wish is that I hope she sticks to the usual art style for Fushigi Yuugi Byakko (if a miracle happened). And all of the Fusigi Yuugi series MUST be made into an anime as well. Oh wells, Yuu Watase’s drawings are still the the best and my most favorite!
